EFCA participated in this year’s Seafood Expo held in Brussels on 25-27 April 2017, sharing a stand with DG MARE (Directorate General Maritime Affairs and Fisheries).
During the three days of the exposition, EFCA welcomed the opportunity to promote its activities within the context of the EU’s Common Fisheries Policy, by engaging stakeholders as well as the general public.
The informative sessions included a debate chaired by the Director-General Aguiar Machado, who discussed with sector representatives and the audience how to respond to consumer expectations.
There was also a presentation of EUMOFA (EU Market Observatory for Fisheries and Aquaculture products), an online tool developed by the European Commission to contribute to transparency and efficiency of the market for fishery and aquaculture products.
